"Close your eyes" is a ballad favored by American jazz musicians. Chombo, assisted by some engaging obligati from Rolando's flute, gives this the full jazz treatment. Again the bongo drum is skillfully worked into the background. The jazz-wise piano solo is by João Donato, a Brazilian who, like Mongo himself, is musically at home in all the Americas.
